Fairy Meadows, named by German climbers, is a lush green alpine meadow nestled at the base of Nanga Parbat (8,126m) — the ninth-highest mountain in the world. This trek is one of the classic mountain walks in Pakistan, offering stunning views of the mountain’s massive Raikot Face. Hike through pine forests, stay in traditional wooden cabins, and stand face-to-face with the giant mountain at its base camp.

Itinerary Details

Day 1: Gilgit to Raikot Bridge & Tato – Drive to Raikot Bridge, transfer to local 4×4 jeeps for a thrilling ride to Tato village. Start trekking (3 hours) to Fairy Meadows. Check-in at cabins.

Day 2: Exploration of Fairy Meadows – Rest day to enjoy the views, walk around the meadows, take photographs, and experience local organic dining.

Day 3: Trek to Beyal Camp – Walk through the pine forest (2 hours) to Beyal Camp (3,150m) for an even closer view of Nanga Parbat.

Day 4: Base Camp Trek – Trek from Beyal Camp to the viewpoint and on to Nanga Parbat Base Camp (3,967m). Return to Fairy Meadows for the night.

Day 5: Return to Tato & Gilgit – Hike down to Tato village, jeep ride back to Raikot Bridge, and drive to Gilgit or Chilas.
