Itinerary Details
Day 1: Islamabad to Skardu – Scenic flight past Nanga Parbat, check-in at hotel, evening walk around Katpana Lake.
Day 2: Shangrila & Kachura Lakes – Guided tour of Shangrila resort, boat ride at Upper Kachura Lake, and short hike.
Day 3: Shigar Valley – Drive to Shigar Valley, tour of Shigar Fort (UNESCO heritage), and walk in the organic orchards.
Day 4: Deosai Plains – Excursion to Deosai National Park, view Sheosar Lake, search for Himalayan brown bears.
Day 5: Khaplu Palace – Travel to Khaplu, explore Chaqchan Mosque, stay at the historic Khaplu Palace.
Day 6: Sarfaranga Cold Desert – Jeep safari and ATV rides in the cold desert, return to Skardu for a traditional Balti dinner.
Day 7: Departure – Early morning flight back to Islamabad or start of overland journey.
